Kharif Maize Sowing Advisory
Sow maize (varieties: Suwan, DHM-117) at 60cm x 25cm spacing. Apply 120kg N, 60kg P2O5, 40kg K2O per hectare. Use seed treatment.
Rabi Wheat Sowing: Recommended Varieties
Sow HD-2967, HD-3086, or PBW-343. Use 100kg seed/ha. Seed treatment with Vitavax Power 2g/kg. Apply DAP 120kg + MOP 60kg as basal dose.
Wheat Crown Root Initiation Irrigation
Give first irrigation (CRI stage) 21 days after sowing. This is the most critical irrigation. Apply 1/3 Urea after first irrigation.
Frost Protection for Rabi Crops
Light irrigation in evening to protect from frost. Cover nurseries with straw/polythene. Avoid nitrogen during cold wave. Spray 0.1% H2SO4 solution on potato.
Wheat: Apply Second Dose of Nitrogen
Apply 2nd split of Urea (1/3) at tillering stage (45-50 days). Mix with neem-coated urea for better efficiency. Do not apply if heavy rain expected.
